NAVASOTA REMAINS UNDER BOIL WATER NOTICE
A boil water notice remains in effect for the City of Navasota.
The notice was caused by a water main break that occurred Thursday evening at the intersection of Railroad Street and Johnson Street.
City officials say the public water system is currently being flushed as crews continue working to restore water service to normal conditions. Due to freezing temperatures, the city said extra precautions are being taken, delaying this process.
The city anticipates lifting the boil water notice by late Wednesday or Thursday.
