BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO 24 CALLS

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to 24 calls in the past 24 hours.  The calls were mostly Automatic Alarms due to the rolling blackouts and busted water pipes.  The City of Brenham continues to repair numerous water main breaks and water is turned off throughout much of the city.

The Brenham Fire Department did respond to a house fire at 9:40 last night.  Firemen arrived to the 100 block of McNeese Street to find a small fire on the back porch of the residence.  The fire was quickly extinguished and its cause is still unknown.  No one was injured in the incident and the residents were able to return to the home.
