BRENHAM SPORTS TEAMS HOPE TO RETURN TO PLAY NEXT WEEK

Brenham High School athletics hopes to return to some semblance of normalcy next week, once the arctic cold front leaves the area.

With all games cancelled in the Brenham Cubettes Softball Leadoff Classic, the Cubettes are now scheduled to open the season, Monday night at Navasota.  First pitch is set for 5:00.  The Cubettes will then travel to Round Rock for a tournament, next Thursday through Saturday.

The Cubs' baseball team has had all scrimmages called off this week and hopes to open the season Monday night, when they host Hutto at 6:30 at Firemen's Park.  That game can be heard live on KWHI.

The Cub and Cubette soccer teams are scheduled to return to play, Tuesday.  The Cubs will travel to A&M Consolidated, while the Cubettes will host A&M Consolidated at Cubs Stadium.

The Brenham Track & Field team will be back in competition next Friday, when they travel to the Tomball Relays at Tomball High School.
