FOUR CASES OF COVID-19 UK VARIANT CONFIRMED IN BRAZOS CO.
The Brazos County Health District has reported four cases of the COVID-19 UK variant in Brazos County.
The health district was notified of the results today (Wednesday) by the Texas Department of State Health Services, and said that all four patients have experienced mild symptoms and did not need to be hospitalized.
A statement from the health district said that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), viruses constantly change through mutation and variants are expected to occur over time.
The COVID-19 variants appear to spread more easily and quickly; however, the health district said the antibodies generated through the available vaccines appear to recognize the variants.
The health district urges continued compliance with prevention strategies like social distancing, mask wearing, and proper hand hygiene. It also encourages citizens to get vaccinated once they are able to do so.
UK Variant??? That’s the new propaganda/scare tactic they’re spewing to the public now??? Everyone continue to wear masks because that stops a virus… The absolute lack of common sense people have theses days….
So we can say UK variant but not China Virus?
