SIXTH ERCOT BOARD MEMBER RESIGNS
A sixth member of the board of directors for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) – which maintains and operates the state’s electrical grid – has resigned.
Wednesday, it was announced that board member Randall Miller, who represented independent power providers, had resigned late Tuesday.
Board Chairwoman Sally Talberg, Vice Chairman Peter Cramton, and board members Raymond Hepper, Terry Bulger and Vanessa Anesetti-Parra resigned at an emergency meeting Wednesday. In addition, Craig Ivey withdrew his candidacy from the board.
The resignations come a week after millions of Texans lost electricity during a historic winter storm, prompting Texas lawmakers to call for an investigation into ERCOT. A joint hearing between the House State Affairs and Energy Resources Committees is scheduled for today (Thursday).
The easy money had all been made. Now that the job will require some real effort they decided to bail.
Hopefully whoever appoints these losers will do a better job this time.
And the previous 5 that resigned all lived out of state, including one Canadian, and one who live in Germany – FYI only.
