AUSTIN CO. FAIR CHILI COOKOFF RESULTS

  

 

Nineteen teams from around the county and beyond entered the inaugural Austin County Fair Association’s Chili-Cook-off on Saturday, February 27th.   Following were the winners of the different categories:

Beans:
1st Place       Bar-16 (Kathy & Danny Supak)
2nd Place      Moore Flavor (Adrian & Steven Moore)
3rd Place      Needs More Ketchup (Stacy Eckert & Andrew Eckert, Shelley & Kevin Wunderlich, & Travis Hintzel)

FIRST PLACE BEANS: Bar-16 (Kathy & Danny Supak)

 

Chef’s Choice:
1st Place       Mistuh J Texas Barbeque (Joshua Lopez) with Pork Carnita Tacos
2nd Place      Meet Between Yer Cheeks (Douglas Supak, William Supak & Ryan Supak) with Street Tacos
3rd Place      DBL Cookers (Sterling Schiller) with Cajun Eggrolls

The Austin County Fair Association would like to express our appreciation to this year’s sponsors for the Chili Cook-Off which include First National Bank – Bellville, Citizens State Bank – Sealy, Bobby Duncum, Ronnie & Kellie Fitch, Giebel Farms, Clayton & Kathy Ignasiak, M&M Disposal, and Scottie & Rachel Schubert.

Proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off are designated to livestock barn improvements.

The Austin County Fair Association is a volunteer run 501©3 non-profit formed for the encouragement of Agriculture, Home Economics, and Horticulture by the maintenance of public fairs and exhibitions of livestock and agriculture related products, which promote organized youth activities, education, scholarship, sportsmanship, and ethics.

Directors work year-round dedicating numerous hours to prepare for the annual county fair.  This year we will host the 94 Annual Austin County Fair October 8th – 17th.
