CUBETTE SOFTBALL DROPS DISTRICT OPENER, 1-0
The Cubettes dropped a heart-breaker in their district opener, Tuesday night at Alumni Field to Magnolia West, 1-0.
A two-out seventh-inning double drove home the lone run of the game, dealing the Cubettes the loss.The Lady Mustangs’ (7-1/1-0) Hailey Toney singled with two outs in the top of the seventh. That was followed by Victoria Vaughn’s run-scoring double.

The Cubettes (3-4/0-1) got two runners on board in the bottom of the seventh, but could no push across the tying tun.
Della Jasinski took the tough loss, going seven innings, yielding eight hits and striking out eight.
Kramer Eschete led the Cubettes’ offense with four hits, while Maggie Hodde had two.

The Cubettes will host their part of the Brenham/Navasota Tournament, this Thursday thru Saturday.
