MAN ARRESTED AFTER EVADING ARREST
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham man faces charges after a brief police chase, early Monday morning.
36-year-old Octavio Ruiz was charged with DWI and Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.
Just after 1:00 a.m., Monday, police responded to the 400 block of US Highway 290 West in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.
Officers eventually located the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver disregarded officers. Police eventually were able to pull over Ruiz, who was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated and for Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle.
He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
