BRENHAM ISD LAUNCHES SAFETY REPORTING TOOL FOR STUDENTS

Brenham ISD is giving students new means to help protect themselves and others.

The school district has launched a new safety reporting tool called Safe2SpeakUP, a student companion app to CrisisGo, which was implemented by the district in 2018.

Students can submit tips or report incidents to their school’s safety team by downloading the Safe2SpeakUP app, which is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Chrome Web Store.

Brenham ISD says Safe2SpeakUP is compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and allows students to improve school safety by:

  • Anonymously reporting bullying and bully-related activity.
  • Reporting safety issues with multi-media reporting options.
  • Communicating with the school safety team during an incident.
  • Learning about safety risks and solutions.
  • Activating a digital panic button and dropping a GPS pin of their location during emergencies.

Students and parents can also log on to www.brenhamisd.net to “Report a Safety Concern” at their campus.
