WASHINGTON COUNTY HOME HIT BY LIGHTNING SUSTAINS MINOR DAMAGE
Minor damage is reported after home northwest of Chappell Hill was struck by lightning, Thursday evening.
Firefighters from Chappell Hill and Brenham were called out to a home in the 2000 block of Chappell Ridge Lane, just before 6:30 Thursday night.
On arrival, they found the home had been struck by lightning. There was smoke in the attic from burning insulation. The firefighters removed the burning insulation and checked the area for hot spots.
The home sustained minor damage. There were no injuries.
