STRAND ASSOCIATES CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF ENGINEERING

  

Strand Associates, Inc. is celebrating 75 years of providing professional consulting engineering services to the public and private sectors.

Founded in 1946 in Madison, Wisconsin, Strand Associates acquired O’Malley Engineers in Brenham in 2015.  A new office was designed and built in Brenham in 2019 to better serve the firm’s clientele in Texas.  The new facility provides workspaces, conference rooms and production facilities for its growing Texas staff.

Strand Associates has provided engineering services in all service offerings for the city, including extension and expansion of the Brenham Municipal Airport, Brenham Police Station site development, Hohlt Park trail and athletic facility improvements, Cub Stadium renovation, downtown sidewalk replacement, Brenham ISD’s elementary and middle schools site design, widening and realignment of the Highway 290 frontage road, wastewater and water supply treatment facility improvements, and water tower rehabilitation.

Strand’s service specialties include municipal/general civil, wastewater, water supply, transportation, electrical, mechanical, structural, aviation, green infrastructure solutions, sustainable design, energy evaluation, and financial assistance through grants and low interest loan programs.

Strand now has a staff of more than 450 employees nationwide, with offices in ten locations across seven states.
