BUCS ENTER REGION XIV TOURNEY AS #2 SEED

Buccaneers will compete Friday at 7:30 p.m.

 

The Blinn College softball team will compete in the NJCAA Region XIV-South Softball Tournament Friday through Sunday, May 14-16, at San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas.

Renna Toomey leads Blinn pitchers with a 10-5 record and 2.19 ERA.

The Buccaneers enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season with a 21-17 overall record and a second-place finish in conference with a 13-5 record.

Blinn will open the tournament against the winner of Coastal Bend College and Alvin Community College on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Chloe Woodward is hitting .370 with a team-leading 26 runs scored.

The tournament champion will advance to the NJCAA Division I Softball Championship in Yuma, Ariz. May 25-29.
