CAT SPRING AG SOCIETY FEST CANCELLED
Update @ 1:30 p.m.: The Cat Spring Agricultural Society has cancelled its 165th annual festival planned for this Saturday.
Event organizers said with the recent heavy rain and potential for more, the grounds will be too wet for attendees to park.
The event will not be rescheduled.
Original Story @ 7:30 a.m.: The Cat Spring Agricultural Society will host its 165th annual festival this weekend.
Festivities are set for Saturday at the Cat Spring Agricultural Hall at 13035 Hall Road.
Barbecue beef, pork and sausage will be served buffet-style starting at 5 p.m. inside the hall. Drive-thru plates and meat by the pound will also be sold. Meals are $12 for adults and $6 for children 5 to 10.
A live auction will start at 6:30 p.m. Other events will include a cake walk, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, magic shows and miniature horses.
All proceeds from the event will go toward renovations of the Cat Spring Agricultural Hall.
