BRENHAM POLICE MAKE MULTIPLE DRUG ARRESTS

  

 

Brenham Police made a slew of drug-related arrests over the weekend.

Friday, just after 1:00 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle in the 1000 block of West Main St.

Investigation revealed that 27-year-old Damarkus Williams of Brenham had two active warrants for his arrest.

Williams was also found to be in possession of Marijuana and was placed in custody for Possession of Marijuana and Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions, as well as the warrants for Safety Seat Child violation and Driving While License Suspended.

Williams was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Also Friday, police conduced a traffic stop in the 200 block of US Hwy 290 East.

26-year-old Brian Arrua of Houston was placed in custody on two charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

Sunday morning, just before 10:30, police stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 290 East for speeding.

Police detected a strong odor of marijuana.  A search of the vehicle turned up a partially smoked marijuana joint and small amount of cocaine.

34-year-old Angel Vega of Houston was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Controlled Substance.  Vega was also arrested on an additional charge for Possession of Controlled Substance when pills that were located in his shoes at the Washington County Jail.

And, Sunday, just before 4:30 p.m., police responded to WalMart in the 200 block of US 290 West to a shop lifting call.

After investigation, 45-year-old Charles Brauer  of Nebraska was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid/Enhanced and 34-year-old Jennifer Sanchez of Oklahoma was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance Parole Violation, and Theft of Property With a Previous Conviction.

Both were transported to the Washington County Jail.
