MONDAY STORMS CAUSE OUTAGES FOR OVER 2,300 BLUEBONNET MEMBERS

Power is back online for over 2,300 Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative members who lost power during Monday night’s storms in the area.
The cooperative reported a total of 92 outages across Washington, Burleson, Fayette and Lee counties, affecting approximately 2,322 members. Power was restored to all members affected by storm-related outages by noon on Tuesday.
According to Bluebonnet Public Affairs Manager Will Holford, the largest single outage affected 1,100 members in Burleson County when a tree fell into power lines. The tree damaged several of Bluebonnet’s poles and cross arms, and also broke power lines crossing a creek.
Individually, Burleson County had a total of 44 outages shut off power to 1,814 members. In Washington County, 152 members were affected by 24 outages. Eight outages in Fayette County affected 57 members. Lee County had 299 members that lost power to 16 outages.
