THREE ARRESTED ON LOCAL DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES

  

Three people were arrested on various drug possession charges by Brenham Police over the weekend.

Friday, police pulled over a vehicle in the 1100 block of US Highway 290 East.

A passenger, 46-year-old Dorothy Ragas of Houston was placed in custody for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of Marijuana.

Ragas was taken to the Washington County Jail.

Saturday, around 9:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop near the 4000 block of 290 West.

30-year-old Lafayette Smith of Houston, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Saturday night, just before 11:30, police stopped a vehicle in the area of South Day and Tom Green Streets.

The driver, 18-year-old Ciaunna Lara of Austin was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.

All three were transported to the Washington County Jail.
