LEE CO. JUDGE WILL NOT RUN FOR REELECTION

  

Lee County Judge Paul Fischer has announced this is his last term in the post.

Fischer made it official at Monday’s commissioners court meeting -- he won’t be running for reelection.

Fischer has served as county judge since 2009 after he was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Judge Evan Gonzales, who resigned from the position.

Fischer, who had served as Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace for over 18 years, was then elected to that post in the next election.
