WINEDALE TO HOLD VIRTUAL PRESENTATION ON TEXAS CZECH COMMUNITIES
The Winedale Historical Complex in Round Top will hold a virtual discussion next weekend on Czech communities in Texas.
The program will be held Saturday, July 17th at noon, and will feature Blinn College instructor and Schulenburg librarian Thadious Polasek, who will present “Texas Czech Communities: Echos of the Homeland.”
Polasek will discuss the arrival and impact on Texas by the Czech, and cover several Czech communities like Cistern, Dubina, Hostyn, Praha, Moravia, Velehrad and St. Mary’s.
