BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS IMPROVEMENTS AT BRENHAM, BRYAN CAMPUSES

The Blinn Board of Trustees will take up discussion on several improvement projects at the Brenham and Bryan Campuses at its meeting Tuesday.

The board will consider seeking qualifications for engineering services related to the College Avenue street and sidewalk realignment on the Brenham Campus.  It will also look to authorize the College to negotiate a guaranteed maximum price for improvements and repairs to the Old Main Building, and will go out for proposals for furniture, fixtures and equipment at the facility.

For the Bryan Campus, trustees will seek qualifications for architectural services at the Administration Building and for interior and access control upgrades on campus, as well as engineering services for chiller replacement and building automation upgrades.

After meeting in executive session, the board will discuss agreements related to the transfer of the Star of the Republic Museum to the Texas Historical Commission, the sale of real property in Brazos County and easement for property in Washington County.

Trustees will also hear a series of administrative, financial, enrollment and housing reports, along with a summary of the 87th Legislative Session.

The board will meet Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. in the board room at the Brenham Campus Administration Building.
