FAYETTE CO. MAN DIES IN HOME ACCIDENT
An accident at a Fayetteville home has resulted in a man’s death.
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that last Wednesday evening, a 911 call came in from a residence on Hwy 159 in the Fayetteville area.
The caller says a man was working on wiring in a home and had fallen off of a ladder onto concrete flooring.
51-year-old Mark Gerik, of Fayetteville was pronounced dead at the scene. Justice of the Peace Sheila Coufal was called to the scene where an Inquest was conducted and it was ruled to be an accidental death.
Fayette County Sgt. Ron Naumann and Deputies Austin Moore and Rick Martell responded, along with Fayette County EMS and the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department.
