BURTON VFD HOSTING BARBECUE FUNDRAISER SUNDAY
Anyone craving barbecue this weekend can head to Burton on Sunday for the Burton Volunteer Fire Department’s drive-thru fundraiser.
Plates of barbecue chicken, sausage, potatoes and green beans will be served on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burton fire station at 1687 FM 1697.
Mike Thorpe of the Burton Volunteer Fire Department says the support it receives from the public is crucial to continuing to serve the community.
Tickets are $15 and can only be purchased in advance. They are available at Hill Top Sales, Goldberg’s Garage, Hair Depot and from any fire department member.
