BRENHAM HONOR GUARD SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

The Brenham Honor Guard is looking for volunteers to provide military honors for fallen veterans.

The Honor Guard was formed 10 years ago to provide honors at funeral and memorial services for honorably discharged veterans of all branches and all eras of military service.  The organization has done over 400 funeral honors for veterans in Washington County.

The group is independent of other veteran organizations, and seeks to assure local families desiring military honors for an eligible veteran that this military tradition will be carried out.

Membership consists of veterans from all eras and non-veterans that participate in capacities other than the firing party or flag folding.

Anyone who is a veteran and is interested in volunteering can contact Washington County Veteran Service Officer Eric Posern at eposern@wacounty.com or 979-277-6228.
