The memory of a 2019 graduate of Brenham High School will be honored later this month at a fundraiser and fishing tournament.
The 2nd Annual Rhead Robbins Memorial Fishing Tournament will be held Saturday, October 23rd at Wild Bill’s, just south of Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville. Robbins, who died in July 2019 in a car accident near Brenham, was an honor graduate and a member of the Cub football team.
Check-in for the tournament begins at 6:30 a.m., with weigh-in at 2:30 p.m. Live music will be performed from 3 to 6 p.m., and there will also be a drawing, a silent auction and a corn hole tournament.
Entry into the tournament is $50 per team of two and $10 for ages 12 and under.
All proceeds will go toward the Rhead Robbins Memorial Fund, supporting Brenham High School college scholarships for Peer Assistance Leadership (PALs) and athletics, along with scholarships for St. Paul’s Christian Day School.
