BRENHAM POLICE ARREST TWO THURSDAY

  

Two people were arrested by Brenham Police in separate incidents Thursday.

At 8:00 Thursday morning, Members of the Brenham Police Department Crime Reduction Unit located Michale Andrew Bennett, 56 of Burton, in the 1000 block of East Tom Green Street. Bennett was placed in custody for an active felony indictment for Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bennett was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in and released to jail staff.

Thursday evening at 08:55 PM, Officers with the Brenham Police Department initiated a traffic stop for a traffic infraction near the intersection of Dixie Road and Highway 36 North. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Eric Alexander, 29 of Cypress, TX was taken into custody for Possession Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
