‘PRAISE IN THE PARK’ SATURDAY AT HOHLT PARK
Faith Mission is partnering to put together a community event this weekend in Brenham for food, fellowship and COVID-19 vaccinations.
Faith Mission, along with Pastor James McDonald of Main Street Missionary Baptist Church and the Department of State Health Services, will host “Praise in the Park” Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Dr. Bobbie M. Dietrich Memorial Amphitheatre at Hohlt Park.
The event will include gospel music and guest speakers, and there will be Moderna and Pfizer vaccines available. Twenty-five of each vaccine will be administered, and guests can register for the vaccine at https://getthevaccine.dshs.texas.gov.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided for the first 100 participants.
Brenham’s Tamesha Pruett-Ray and the Southern Travelers of Houston will perform, while Ricky Ward of Houston and other guests from Austin and Bryan/College Station will speak.
The Faith Mission Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program will provide services to families on site, as well as the Texans Recovering Together project.
