TWO ARRESTED FRIDAY BY BRENHAM POLICE

  

Two people were arrested by Brenham Police Friday in separate incidents.

At 9:10 AM, Brenham Police Officer Armando Guerra conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Victory Lane for a traffic violation. Narcotics were located inside the vehicle during a probable cause search of the vehicle. The driver; Jamarcus Sloan, 24 year old male of Houston, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana.

At 10:10 AM, the Brenham Police Department Crime Reduction Unit conducted a warrant service at a place of business located in the 500 block of South Baylor Street. Emmitt Lewis Jr., 64 year old male of Brenham, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.  Lewis was under Indictment from the 21st District Attorney’s Office for Abuse of Corpse Without Legal Authority, a State Jail Felony.
