EARLY VOTING STEADY THROUGH TWO DAYS
Two days of early voting are in the books for the constitutional amendment election and Burton ISD bond election.
Numbers from Washington County Election Administrator Carol Jackson indicate Tuesday had 91 voters in the constitutional amendment election, up from 81 voters on Monday. So far, there have been 172 early voters.
Burton ISD’s bond election had 33 early voters on Tuesday, compared to 35 on Monday. Through two days, 68 voters have participated in the election.
Early voting is taking place at the Washington County Courthouse Annex for the constitutional amendment election. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through this Friday and from next Wednesday through Friday. Next Monday and Tuesday will have extended hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Burton bond voters can visit the Burton High School auditorium from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday), 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Early voting next week will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 25th, 27th and 29th, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the 26th and 28th.
