STEADY TURNOUT CONTINUES FOR EARLY VOTING

  

Early voting maintains a steady pace in Washington County and Burton ISD.

County Election Administrator Carol Jackson said 84 voters cast ballots on Wednesday for the constitutional amendment election, bringing the three-day total to 256.

The bond election in Burton ISD drew 23 early voters on Wednesday.  So far, 91 people have voted early in the election.

Early voting continues at the Washington County Courthouse Annex for the constitutional amendment election, and at the Burton High School auditorium for the Burton bond election.

Early voting hours at the annex are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday).  Monday and Tuesday will have extended hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with hours returning to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Wednesday through Friday.

The auditorium will be open for early voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.  Next week’s voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
