WARRANT ARREST THURSDAY BY BRENHAM POLICE

A warrant led to the arrest of a Brenham man Thursday.
Brenham Police report that at 12:30 PM Thursday, Sergeant Jonathan Phipps responded to the 1900 block of South Market Street for a welfare concern. It was discovered that Ruben Valencia Lopez, 42 of Brenham, had a warrant issued through TDCJ Pardon and Parole division. While trying to arrest Lopez, he actively resisted. Lopez was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for the parole warrant and resisting arrest.
