TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR DWI OVER WEEKEND

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend for DWI.

The Brenham Police report that just after 10:00 PM Friday, officers responded to the area of South Chappell Hill and East Alamo Street in reference to a reckless driver call.  A vehicle was reported to be running stop signs and the driver possibly intoxicated.  A vehicle description was provided along with a partial license plate, and it was located near the intersection of East Alamo Street and Blue Bell Road. The driver, Michael Dustin Olivier, 40 of Lavon Texas, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container.

Sunday at 9:40 PM, officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident at the 100 block of Alamo Street.  The caller followed the hit and run vehicle onto South Market Street.  Officer Crystal Buckner located a vehicle matching the description given by the caller.  The driver, Benjamin Wayne Tackitt, 30 of Moody Missouri, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container.
