HUNTER’S WIFE WEEKEND SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN CALDWELL, SOMERVILLE

  

For anyone not headed to the deer lease this weekend, a full day of shopping and wine tasting awaits in downtown Caldwell and Somerville.

The Burleson County Chamber of Commerce will host the annual “Hunter’s Wife Weekend” on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a theme of “Gypsy Prom.”

Burleson County Chamber Executive Director Susan Mott says 19 wine stops scattered across Burleson County will offer a variety of wines and snacks, and there will also be live music in the afternoon.

 

The Aggie Wranglers will perform at 2 p.m. in front of Mimosa Mercantile.

Entry is $25, which provides a wine glass, a Hunter’s Wife Weekend wine glass sleeve, and a Hunter’s Wife Weekend bag filled with coupons and other items.  Tickets can be purchased at the Old Post Office in downtown Caldwell starting Saturday at 10 a.m.

Guests will be eligible for door prizes if they stamp their passport at all 19 locations and return them to the Funky Junky by 6 p.m.

Shuttle services will be provided for attendees to travel between Caldwell and Somerville.
