BURTON DEFEATS CHRISTOVAL, SCORES WINNING TOUCHDOWN WITH LESS THAN 1:00 ON CLOCK

The Burton Panthers will move into the Area Round of the playoffs after their thrilling victory over Christoval in Llano on Thursday night, 30-29. Burton was down 29-22 with less than 2:00 left in the game and made a game winning drive ending with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Roehling to Carson Lauter and leaving just :21 in the game. Down 29-28, Burton went for the win, and Roehling hit Pierson Spies for the 2-point conversion to take the victory. Burton will now face the winner of Bruni and Louise who play Friday night at 7:30p.
