WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

The purchase of a new generator for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department tops the agenda for the County Commissioners Court meeting Tuesday.

Commissioners will discuss and possibly approve the purchase of a 760kw diesel generator for the Sheriff’s Department through the American Rescue Plan.  They are also expected to discuss and approve buying three firewall routers and associated subscription services to improve network security, also through the American Rescue Plan.

The meeting agenda also includes a formal notice for a road bore by Corix Utilities for a new water service line on Seward Plantation Road, along with other routine items and staff reports.  The Washington County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the courthouse in Brenham.

  1. Thank you Democrat Rep. John Yarmouth for introducing this bill, thanks to all the public servants in DC who voted yes, and to President Joe Biden who signed this bill into law.
