WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO OPEN BIDS FOR APPRAISAL SOFTWARE

  

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will meet Friday to open bid proposals for a computer-assisted mass appraisal system.

Chief Appraiser Dyann White says the appraisal district is looking to modernize its current system by adding features or purchasing new software altogether.

White says new software could allow appraisers to use tablets to edit property data in real time and take photos of the properties, cutting down on cost and time in the field.

The board will meet Friday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office at 1301 Niebuhr Street in Brenham.
