The City of Brenham celebrated the new amenities at Jerry Wilson Park in Brenham at a ribbon cutting Tuesday.

New features include improved sidewalk connectivity, new backstop netting along Chappell Hill Street, a new playground, additional seating, a bike rack, a water bottle filling station, low-level lighting, and a mural reflecting prominent people and places like Jerry Wilson, the park namesake, in the historic Camptown community.

The project was funded by the Brenham Community Development Corporation.
