LA GRANGE TO HOST SCHMECKENFEST DEC. 2
The 14th Annual Schmeckenfest is coming to La Grange next week.
The wassail tasting and Christmas extravaganza will be held on Thursday, December 2nd starting at 5 p.m. on the Fayette County Courthouse square.
Festivities will begin with a Christmas parade, followed by the lighting of the tree on the courthouse lawn. This year, there will be 29 wassail booths and 11 food booths for guests to sample different drinks and treats.
There will also be a wassail competition and the naming of this year’s Schmeckenmeister, along with children’s activities, face painting and musical performances by the La Grange High School Band and German Club.
