DOWNTOWN LA GRANGE HOSTING SCHMECKENFEST THURSDAY
Downtown La Grange kicks off its holiday season tomorrow (Thursday) night with the 14th Annual Schmeckenfest.
Activities for the annual wassail tasting and Christmas extravaganza get underway at 5 p.m. on the Fayette County Courthouse square.
Guests will be able to sample drinks and treats from 29 wassail booths and 11 food booths.
Other events include a Christmas parade, the lighting of the courthouse tree and the naming of this year’s Schmeckenmeister after the wassail competition. There will also be children’s activities, face painting and music performances from the La Grange High School Band and German Club.
Entry into the event is free.
