WASHINGTON CO. PECAN SHOW ANNOUNCES RESULTS

  

The winners of the Washington County Horticulture Committee’s Pecan Show on December 1st have been announced.

Pecans from across Washington County and several neighboring counties were evaluated for quality and variety characteristics to determine the best pecan in each category and division.  Washington County producers submitted 32 of the 40 entries judged at this year’s show, with the remaining being from other counties.

Entries advancing to the East Region Pecan Show, set for January 10-11, 2022, will be judged by a panel of pecan experts at Texas A&M University in College Station.
