TRAFFIC STOP LATE WEDNESDAY LEADS TO ARRESTS

  

A traffic stop on a vehicle late Wednesday led to the arrest of two men by Brenham Police.

On Wednesday, at 11:40 PM, Ofc. Connor Caskey effected a traffic stop in the 2200 block of South Day Street for an equipment violation.  Ofc. Caskey detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search.  During the search, Ofc. Caskey located drug paraphernalia along with a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam) and took Benjamin Wilcox, 19 of Beaumont, and Gerald McClatchy, 18 of Seguin, into custody for Possession of Controlled Substance and booked them into the Washington County Jail.
