ONE PERSON IN CUSTODY AFTER GRIMES COUNTY ASSAULT

  

One person is in the Grimes County Jail after the assault of another last week.  On Thursday at 6:40 PM, Grimes County Deputies and medical personnel were dispatched to an address off Justin Lane in the Grassy Creek Trailer Park, in Navasota, for a report of an assault in progress.  Information obtained from the reporting party indicated one male was unresponsive at that location. Deputies arrived on scene and immediately began life saving efforts. The patient was taken to a local hospital via air medical helicopter.  Friday, Investigators with the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office took Thomas Dillon Nobles into custody as the suspect in the alleged assault.  Nobles is currently charged with Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury with a Deadly Weapon, a first-degree felony, and Assault Causes Bodily Injury a Class A misdemeanor.  Nobles is in custody at this time in the Grimes County Jail under a $130,000 bond.  The incident is currently under investigation and no other information can be released at this time.
