SEALY CITY MANAGER RESIGNS
The City of Sealy is once again searching for a permanent city manager.
The Sealy City Council on Wednesday officially acknowledged the resignation of Warren Escovy as city manager. Escovy submitted his notice of resignation on December 9th.
Escovy, the city’s former planning and community development director, was named interim city manager following the departure of Lloyd Merrell on December 21, 2020. He was hired as full-time city manager on April 20th.
Escovy told The Sealy News his resignation had nothing to do with the city, as he had received a new job opportunity as city administrator in Blanco.
The city will appoint Sealy Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Executive Director Kimbra Hill as acting city manager on Monday, and will officially designate her as interim city manager on Escovy’s last day with the city on January 7, 2022.
