TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY ON DWI CHARGES

  

Two people started out the New Year on the wrong foot after they were arrested by Brenham Police for DWI.

Saturday at 1:25 PM, Officer Buckner responded to a reckless driver call in the 900 block of Highway 290 East. Investigation revealed Julieta Veronica Gallegos-Rodriguez, 45 of Brenham, was intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. Rodriguez was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd offence.

Also Saturday at 2:40 PM, Officer Caskey responded to a reckless driver call coming into the Brenham City Limits on Highway 290 traveling west bound. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street and investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated. Gregory Scott Richardson, 57 of Houston, was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more offences and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
