NANCY CAROL ROBERTS MEMORIAL LIBRARY TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR A READING PROGRAM

  

The Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library still has applications available for the “Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program.”

The Imagination Library Program was started by the famous country singer in her home town in 1995. The purpose is to mail free, high quality books to children regardless of their family’s income.

The program has since expanded to include the entire U.S., as well as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland. In 2020, they gifted their 150 millionth book.

The Imagination Library Program, along with donations collected by the Brenham High School National Honor Society, provide a free book every month to registered children newborn to four years old that live in the 77833 zip code.
