TEXAS BLACKSMITHING CONFERENCE & ANTIQUE GAS ENGINE REUNION JAN. 28-29 IN LA GRANGE
The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) in La Grange will soon feature displays of blacksmithing and old gas engines.
The Texas Blacksmithing Conference and Antique Gas Engine Reunion will be held the last weekend of January.
Activities will begin on Friday, January 28th at noon and Saturday, January 29th at 9 a.m., and will include blacksmithing demonstrations, a showcase of gas, oil, steam and hot air engines, tours on the village grounds and vendors.
There will also be live heritage music on Saturday with Celtaire from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A live auction with blacksmithing tools and other handmade pieces will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a performance from The Harfmann’s from 2 to 5 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the construction of the TCHCC Blacksmith Shop.
