WORKSHOP MEETING SET FOR MONDAY

  

The Brenham City Council and the Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission are holding a joint session this week.

The two groups are meeting together this coming Monday, January 10 at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in Morris Hall inside the Barnhill Center.

The main goal of the workshop meeting will be discussion and a presentation of the city’s thoroughfare plan. The Brenham Comprehensive Plan, Historic Past, Bold Future: Plan 2040 was originally adopted by the city of September 19, 2019, but the pandemic put things on hold.

The plan has been updated for 2022 and focuses on five main areas. Those areas are Land Use and Development, Growth Capacity, Economic Opportunity, Transportation, and Parks and Recreation.

The plan is scheduled for a public hearing before the planning and zoning commission on January 24. It is also scheduled for council consideration on February 3 and 17.
