SAN BERNARD ELECTRIC CO-OP ALERTING OF SCAM IN WALLER CO.

San Bernard Electric Cooperative is warning of a scam affecting members in Waller County.

The cooperative says it has been made aware there are two men reportedly traveling to the homes of co-op members around Waller County and telling them they are there to replace power line poles and transformers.  While one of the men takes the homeowners outside, the other will enter the home in search of valuables.

The men are said to be driving a brand-new Dodge four-door truck.

San Bernard says these two men are not employees or contractors for the co-op, adding that its employees and contractors will always be in a marked truck or bucket truck and will carry their badge when working in the field.

Anyone who sees or encounters these men is encouraged to contact the Waller County Sheriff’s Office at 979-826-8282.
