Two area counties have incorporated burn bans.

On Tuesday, both Fayette and Lee counties restricted outdoor burning in all unincorporated areas.

Fayette County’s burn ban prohibits burning for 90 days, unless restrictions are ended earlier.  Lee County’s ban is effective until further notice.

As of today (Wednesday), 112 of the state’s 254 counties had instituted a burn ban.
