BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST NWS SKYWARN CLASS
The Brenham Fire Department is hosting a National Weather Service SKYWARN class next week.
SKYWARN is the National Weather Service’s volunteer program of 350,000 to 400,000 trained severe weather storm spotters.
The class is being held on Thursday, March 3rd, at 6pm at the Fireman’s Training Center in Brenham. The class is expected to run approximately two hours.
The subjects being discussed include basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report, how to report information, and basic severe weather safety.
Training is free of charge and no registration is required.
