CUBETTES PICK UP ROAD WIN OVER SHINER 5-3

BRENHAM 5  SHINER  

The Brenham Cubette Softball Team had a bye last (Tuesday) night in District 19-5A, but elected to stay busy, and came home with a 5-3 victory over the Shiner Lady Comanches.

Shiner actually jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second inning.  However, Brenham bounced back with two runs in the third and two runs in the fourth to take a 4-2 lead.j

Shiner cut the lead down to one with a run in the bottom fourth inning. Brenham added one more insurance run in the seventh inning to get the 5-3 win.

Next up, the Cubettes are back to district play on Friday to face College Station at 6:30pm (6:05pm on KWHI and KWHI.com)
