BURTON COTTON GIN FESTIVAL BEING HELD APRIL 23
The Burton Cotton Gin Festival will be celebrating its 33rd anniversary later this month.
The Festival is being held on Saturday, April 23rd, from 10am-6pm. It is a free, family friendly event featuring a day full of fun and history.
The event begins with a parade through Burton, and continues on the grounds of the Texas Cotton Gin Museum.
Live music will include Sean Orr and Texas Gold from noon-2pm, the Jodie Mikula Orchestra from 2pm-4pm, and the Black Cat Choir from 4-6pm.
The highlight is going to occur around 3pm when their 1914 Burton Farmers Gin comes to life, and gins a bale of cotton.
There will also be Folklife skills demonstrations like blacksmithing, spoon carving, and butter churning,
In addition to that, the Festival is having Tractor, Engine, and Classic Car Shows, as well as, an Arts and Crafts Vendor area, and a food court.
